7 Night 8 Days Tibet Overland Adventure Tour

Day 01: Kathmandu-Zanmu/Neyalam (3600m) -153 km.
Departure at 0530 hrs from the in front of Alpine Trek in Thamel. Approx 05 hours drive to Kodari (China and Nepal border), Half an hour drive to Zhangmu, where after completion of immigration formalities we drive further to Neylam following Bhote Koshi river in a deep valley with some overflowing waterfalls. Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 02: Neylam – Tingri/Lhasa (4050m) -285 kms.
Drive through Neylam Pass (3800m) with the view of Jugal Himal. A continued drive via Lalungla Pass (5050m) has some of the outstanding view of Mt. Xixapangma (8013m highest in Tibet), Mt. Makalu (8464m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt.Cho Oyo (8201m) and Mt. Everest (8848m). Overnight in guesthouse.
 
Day 03: Lhotse-Xigaste (3900m) -90 km.
Drive to Xigaste the place of the famous Tashilumpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama. Overnight at Hotel Samdrupse or similar standard.

Day 04: Xigatse-Gyantse (3050m) -90 km.
After visiting Tashilumpo Monastery in the morning including the bazaar of Xigaste. Drive to Gyantse, which is 02 hrs. Gyantse is small busting town steeped in history. It lies 264 kms. Southwest of Lhasa on the northern bank of Nyang Chu river. In the 15th century it served as the capital of a small kingdom. Visit Kumbum Chorten which was built around 1400 A. D. It later became the main center for trade with British India. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 05: Gyantse-Lhasa (3650m) -261 kms.
08-hrs drive takes you to Lhasa crossing the Karo La Pass (5010) & Kambala Pass (4794m), The Karo La clims between two lofty mountains Nozing Khang SA (7223m) & Ralung (6236m). While driving you will see the Yamdrok Tso (Turquoise Lake) which takes approx. 1 hour to cross around. After passing Kamba la, Lhasa valley is seen to the north.You will also cross the Bramhaputra River. Reaching Lhasa & Check into Hotel. The accompanied guide will reconfirm you onward airline ticket.Overnight in Hotel.

Day 06: & 07: In Lhasa
These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing & excursion of the Potala Palace, the Jokhang temple, surrounding Barkhor market. Drepung Monastery. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 08: Lhasa-Kathmandu.
In the morning after breakfast, transfer to airport 02 hrs. Drive –Representative will assist you. Departure of flight for Kathmandu would be approx. 10.00 hrs. China Standard Time & arriving Kathmandu at 09.00 hrs. Nepal Standard time.Flight Lhasa/Kathmandu Lasts for 01 hours ten minutes. During the flight you will see the following. Yarlung River. Lake Yamdrok. Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m) and Mt. Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Everest (8848m). Weather permitting.
